Daniel and I headed back to the hospital today and we warmly greeted by everyone starting with the valet guys helping us load two full wagons then volunteers helped us take the wagons and suitcases up to the good ol' 7th floor. Chris and Cody popped out of the Seacrest studio to tell us how happy they are with the response they are getting from the video and that they have all kinds of fun thing in store for our next stay, starting with harmonica lessons starting at 1 o'clock either in the studio o from the room. When we get upstairs with all our stuff we gladly found out they have our suite ready (but not really) I am thrilled that we got the big #750 back. I know Daniel is too. It is bigger and I know Daniel finds comfort having the familiarity. We got settled fairly quickly before music lessons started and Daniel got pretty comfortable having me "fetch him all his crap". Amazing how fast he remembers how this all works. It's okay. It is about 4 o'clock and we are just about ready to get him going on his first dose of chemo. He will be getting two types (separately) this time and they are every twelve hours. I know the part he dreads most is that one kind requires that he needs to take eye drops every 4 hours. The eye drops are to prevent a subsequent eye infection. He will easily sleep through getting chemotherapy in the middle of the night but the bad part is they need to wake him every four hours for the drops.
So once again we start the dance of how this all goes and we continue to settle in. We will hope for the best this round, not knowing what to expect but suspecting that the side effects will be less than the last round when the chemotherapy was very aggressive...however he had no side effects SOOOOO again who knows what to expect.
