What a treat. Daniel went in for his lumbar puncture and his bone marrow biopsy today and as we expected to check in to start treatment tomorrow, Dr. Hunger, our head Doctor on Daniel's case is having us stay home for the weekend and come back on Monday instead. Well, we aren't staying around to argue. We need to wait to hear back from Dr. Hunger about the results of Daniel's bone marrow biopsy as to what the plan of action will be for his treatment. We should hear tonight or tomorrow at the latest but this is a big call. This is the call that will tell us if Daniel is in remission or not and will determine if Daniel has had a good response or poor response to his treatment. We pray for a good response and that he will just be able to remain on the same path of treatment he has been following and not have to take the alternative route which may have to involve a rougher one. Not that this one has been a cake walk. Some other news we found out this morning is that Matthew, Rob and I are not a match as donors for Daniel should it be necessary for him to have a bone marrow transplant and so if he should need a transplant we would not be the ones to donate. Although this is somewhat difficult news for me I am somewhat relieved because I feel it is to difficult of a burden for Matthew to handle. Right now I will just hope and pray that his results come back today with a good response and that he is in remission as we have hoped for all along and we can enjoy a few more days at home.
