Daniel has been looking forward to going to see Transformers 4 for many months and watching the trailers with anticipation. The day he was admitted to the hospital and told he would be staying for a while he knew he would miss the premier and was so upset. The one and only thing he wanted to do when he was told he could leave the hospital for a few days was go and see this movie. With permission from the doctors and great trepidation we set aside the day with excitement for the big field trip. Matthew took the day off to spend with his brother especially and I to several precautions under doctors orders and several of my overprotective self. Since through his blood work yesterday his numbers are not looking exceptionally high I am still exceptionally nervous. After two days of feeling great and record setting eating I thought we were in good shape to tackle an outing but this morning didn't start out so great. Daniel slept late and woke up with his usual throwing up. Yet determined to get to the early scheduled movie he got up and dressed. Thought he was safe with another turkey sandwich but this was not to be the case. By the time we had made it to the theater he was throwing it up in the parking lot despite the precautionary nausea medication. The kid cleaned himself up and when I asked if we should try to go tomorrow he said "No way mom, I am going to enjoy the fuck out of this movie." So we grabbed the barf bucket and off we went. I put on my freak hat (actually rubber gloves) and wiped down the seats with bleach and got us settled as the only patrons in the theater. It took about 15 minutes in before he was throwing up again. After that we got about a good hour into the movie and He could barely keep his eyes open. Matthew was very concerned he wasn't going to make it. I asked how long the movie was Matthew replied a bit over 3 hours. What The F???? Not a chance. one look at Daniel and he was out. No way he made it past an hour and a half. we stayed to the end trying to wake him. He said we could stay to see the end. By the end he was so tired and nauseous he couldn't walk, Matthew had to pretty much carry him out. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Maybe by the time he gets back home we will have a chance to see it on our home screen and he can see how it ends there. I told him it ended just like all the otherones anyway and if Daddy was with us he would have slept through it too.
