Due to a terrible night sleep last night I spent the whole morning in bed today buried under the covers trying to catch up on seep and get rid of a head ache. In the meantime I came to find out that Daniel I guess is fairly capable of carrying on with a morning routine on his own. He got his crap together and actually got all his meds done and got a shower and my ears only woke up briefly when the doctors came in to find Daniel full doing homework on his own. I heard them say he is definitely in the top percentage of teenagers they have ever seen in the past 30 years doing so well and doing homework without being told (well not really). I slowly drifted back to sleep with a smile on my face. I woke up and felt much more rested and spent the rest of the day letting Daniel finish his work, having lunch and then walking. We played basketball and shot marshmallows and then watched a movie with our nurse (oh my gosh , seriously) Elf, gotta love Will Ferrel.
It was nice to see two kids released today. Especially in time for the holidays. The nurses made a really big deal about it. I of course cried. We will still be here where we need to be but it is nice to know that Daniel is feeling so well, and that is most important. His mucousitis is mostly gone which is indicative that he is on trend be making new cells soon. This is very good news. So we hang tight and wait.
