It has been a very long but pretty easy week. We made it through the whole week home and with fairly little turmoil. We got all our meds taken, got showers take n daily, got meals made and eaten, liquid averages met, exercise done (hmm, mostly), homework worked on, and A LOT of video game time logged. Tomorrow we will spend all day at the hospital. Daniel needs a few infusions done that take a long time. One is done every three weeks and he has always been at the hospital when he has received it and the others are weekly to try and help get rid of this stinking CMV viruts. He has about 6 hours of infusions to finish before he is done and he has been scheduled early to get started so that he can be finished in time to go on air for 2 pm [P]Review. I will be leaving him at the hospital for the first time with much anxiety to attend Daniel’s high school for a formal meeting to discuss his academic standing. He is working so hard at his freshman course load but is struggling with the pace and independence of it. He was not anticipating the amount of work he would have to do on his own and did not realize how difficult it is to motivate yourself to work on your own. We also whole heartedly agree that mom is not cut out for the homeschooling thing. We hope to clarify some school technicalities tomorrow and get him focused and on track. He is so smart and will do so great, he just needs a little guidance from the educators. That being said, I could not be more proud of him for sticking with his program and getting his work done the best he can and always having a great attitude.
